I Just Got Saved!

I'm Born Again!

(Crusade Version) New Believer Trifold (1).png

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again,he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

— John 3:3

What Does This Mean?

You couldn’t do enough good to save yourself (Eph. 2:8-9). To God, your good deeds were like filthy rags (Is. 64:6). Jesus came and lived a perfect life and paid the price to bring you into right relationship (righteousness) with God.  You were born into sin, and as a result, you were enemies of God.

However, Jesus paid your debts and washed away your sin once and for all so you can come to God boldly as your Father (Heb. 4:16, Rom. 8:15). You are no longer a sinner, but you have been made new in Him.

Jesus saved you from hell, delivered you from all the powers of darkness (Col. 1:13), set you free from sin (Rom. 6:18), healed you (Ps. 107:20), and made you prosperous in Him (Jn. 10:10). Through knowing Him, you now have eternal life (Jn. 17:3). You have put off your old sinful self and put on Christ (Eph. 4:22-24). He took your punishment and became sin so you could be made righteous (2 Cor. 5:21). He filled you with His Spirit (Eph. 1:13-14).

He made you clean, just as if you never sinned. Now, because of Jesus, you have peace with God (Rom. 5:1).

NOW WHAT?

Just as a baby is not born a fully mature adult, when you’re born again you are a baby in the family of God. As you set time aside to read the Word, renew your mind, pray to the Lord, join a church, get baptized in both water and the Holy Spirit, you will mature as a believer and experience His fullness.

Your New Life In Christ

You were born into sin under Adam, but now you have been born again as a New Creation through faith in Jesus Christ

(2 Cor. 5:17).

YOU'RE A NEW CREATION

When you believed and received Him, He gave you the power to become a child of God with all the benefits of having God Almighty as your father. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (Jn. 1:12).

YOU'RE A CHILD OF GOD

YOU'RE FORGIVEN

Jesus has forgiven you of all your sin. You don’t have to carry the punishment or shame of the things you’ve done. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7).

YOU'RE QUALIFIED

Jesus qualified you to do everything He’s called you to. This isn’t based on your own ability, but on His ability in and through you. You have access to all of His blessings for you (Col. 1:12).

READ THE WORD

Get to know His voice through reading His Word. Reading the Bible transforms the way you think. His thoughts become yours (Rom. 12:2). His Word is reliable and never changes (Mat. 24:35). It will lead and guide you (Ps. 119:105).

SPEND TIME WITH JESUS

Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. He endured the cross for the joy set before Him which is YOU (Heb. 12:2)! Jesus prioritized spending time with Father God (Lk. 5:16). In the same way, prioritize alone time with Him. Pray to the Lord, listen to Him, and learn to hear His voice. Prayer is talking to God. Spend time talking to Him all throughout your day (1 Thess. 5:17-18). The more you spend time with Him, the more you get to know Him—the One who loves you (Jn. 15:13).

JOIN A CHURCH

You were born again as a part of the Body of Christ. You were never meant to be alone. As the body, we need each other (1 Cor. 12:12-26). Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to forsake “...the assembling of ourselves together...” Find a church that preaches the Gospel and surround yourself with believers who will encourage you to follow Jesus. Submit yourself to pastors and leaders who will help you grow into the full stature of Christ.

BAPTIZED IN WATER

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality. In baptism, you express that you are buried with Christ, and have been raised to new life in Him (Rom. 6:3-4). Water baptism publicly declares that you believe in Jesus and have chosen to follow Him.

BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

When you were born again, you received the Holy Spirit as the seal of your salvation (Eph. 1:13). The Holy Spirit is God and leads you into all truth. The disciples had received the Holy Spirit, but still needed the power to witness. Jesus told them, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me...” (Acts 1:8) When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you receive the power to be an effective witness.

TELL OTHERS ABOUT JESUS

Jesus called us to make disciples. A Disciple follows the disciplines of their teacher. As a born again believer you have chosen to give up your own life and follow Jesus (Mat. 16:24)

Now as a follower of Christ, you’re on the path to life. When you’ve been forgiven and set free it’s natural to want to share with everyone. Take time to text, call, or meet up with someone and share what Jesus has done for you!.
